Abstrakt

Kulturní dědictví zakládá nový interdisciplinární diskurz na pomezí kritické reflexe a aplikované historie. Spojuje historiky, urbanisty, historiky umění, architekty, antropology a aktéry v oblasti ochrany a podpory kulturního dědictví na národní i nadnárodní úrovni (UNESCO, European Heritage Label). Tzv. • Proměny různých objektů a zvyků a jejich významů v různých kontextech a jejich interpretace prostřednictvím narativů národní či nadnárodní kulturní politiky. Cultural heritage establishes a new interdisciplinary dicourse on the border of critical reflexion and applied history. It unites historians, urbanists, art historians, architects, anthropologists and agents active in the field of protection and support of cultural heritage, on the national and supranational level (UNESCO, European Heritage Label). As a research field, it focuses on the analysis and interpretation of cultural heritage, it is interested in theoretical aspects and the application of a concept in practice in the construction of national and supranational identification including political and power aspects – by doing this it considerably exceeds the realm of traditional heritage preservation and it conversely builds on the problematic of memory. It is used as a strong tool for regional development and adaptation processes in its applied form. This also means a creation of public space known as “placemaking“, a growing multilateral approach to the planning and management of the public spaces with participation of the local communities, local administrations, institutions and academic experts. It is a collaborative process building on identification and participation of shared values where cultural heritage often plays one of the central roles. We welcome papers on following issues: • Cultural heritage as a specific area of cultural politics where different identities and identity-projects interfere in order to construct its own historicity. • Cultural heritage as an identity-creating factor on all levels: from the small village to the regional municipalities, national, European or global level (UNESCO). • Who, why, and how has the right or power to define or negotiate about what is or what is not (European) cultural heritage? • What types of cultural heritage represent small cities, countryside or metropolis? • How particular types of cities work with the representation of cultural heritage? • Transformations of different objects and customs and its meanings in different contexts and its interpretation through the narratives of the national or supranational cultur
